Hinge dating app releases its LGBTQIA+ D.A.T.E Report.

In celebration of Pride Month, Hinge’s report dives into the desires of Gen Zers and Millennials. What’s on the list? According to Hinge, emotional intimacy is the #1 topic LGBTQIA+ daters want advice on, while "50% want to learn how to build trust better."

As Hinge reveals, the key to building strong emotional connections is "slowmance." For those who take pride in intentionality, slowmance is quite similar. It's a "conscious" approach to dating that prioritizes a slow pace, clear boundaries and intention-setting.

Hinge's Love and Connection Expert, Moe Ari Brown speaks to the benefits of slowmance for queer people. "LGBTQIA+ people often experience unique and difficult dynamics, from coming out to friends and family to dealing with discriminatory laws. This means that many of us can find ourselves dating in a society where we may already feel vulnerable or marginalized." As a result, "trust and support from a partner who gets it can be especially important."

He continues: "Think of a soft start as melting the ice rather than breaking it – taking it steady while you learn to feel comfortable with one another. It’s a great way to build a solid relationship slowly by prioritizing trust and consistency over time. Rather than casual or surface level interactions. It’s about taking the time, care and intention that go into establishing and sustaining the connection."

While you're here, here's how to elevate your orgasms.
