Loro Piana’s FW25-26 Collection Will Inspire You to Take Up Horse Riding

Whether it’s the use of organic material blends or rich color palettes, Loro Piana has constantly looked to the natural world for design inspiration. This season, the Italian Maison turns its attention to horse riding, building a complete ready-to-wear collection that draws on the classic equestrian uniform.
In typical Loro Piana fashion, the interpretation of this aesthetic in the Fall/Winter 2025-26 range is made sophisticated and elegant with a mix of clean-cut and layered silhouettes. Reminiscent of competitive riding attire, tweed two-piece suits provide the focus of the range and land in neutral tones of “Dark Brandy” and “Dark Maple Leaf,” co-ordinating with a series of overcoats, hardwearing gilets, and quilted liners.
Similarly, dresses and skirts are kept modest with hems that fall at the calf. Paying homage to Argentinian horse-riding heritage, the Maison also incorporates a pant skirt into its offering which, for those less familiar, features a split structure to allow free-flowing movement. Other bottoms not to be missed out on include tight-fitting jodhpurs and leather pants, designed to be tucked into boots or scrunched socks.
Weaving an element of texture through the collection, Loro Piana delivers a variety of fine and thick knit cashmere jumpers and trousers that can be worn leisurely during the cooler months. On the opposite end of the spectrum, eveningwear provides a series of smarter options such as boleros, embroidered jackets, and ankle-length skirts. As seen in the lookbook, these evening outfits can be accessorized with a brimmed hat or the Maison’s new Needle bag.
For the reveal of the collection, Loro Piana opens the doors to its headquarters during Milan Fashion Week to host a special presentation with spaces designed to reflect the material journey of its garment creation. Further to this, its Kiosk fixture returns to Via dei Giardini from February 28 to March 1 in the style of an old post office where it will give out postcards printed with the Maison’s ’90s advertising campaigns.
