I Define My Wardrobe as Classic But Cool—These Are the Spring Finds I'm Eyeing

Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour  Thu, 07 Apr 2022  Who What Wear

Listen, I'm the first to admit that I don't always get it right. We all have the occasional regretful purchase, but if I had to define my wardrobe or the wardrobe I'd love to own, "classic but cool" hits the nail on the head. Think the best versions of all the most important basics with trendy (but not too trendy) buys sprinkled in and the occasional statement piece for those days when you want to switch it up. Ideally, those trendy and statement buys will go perfectly with all your classics so you can wear them often and in many ways.

Casual but cool can sound rather abstract at first, but when defined, it becomes a pretty easy set of parameters to shop for, which is why I was able to bring you this roundup today. Ahead, you'll find the 31 pieces I'm eyeing for my ideal spring aesthetic, from jeans and dresses to shoes, bags, and more. Curious to see what made the cut? Simply keep scrolling to find out and, of course, get to shopping.

I know I'll regret including this when it sells out, but I just had to share.

They're just so fresh.

Eyeing, buying—same thing, right?

I wanted this even before I noticed its 4.7-star rating.

So chic and just the right length.

Trendy shoes in a classic color are my comfort zone.

Dress it up or down.

Don't forget the matching skirt.

Another strong matching set (that also comes in black).

It doesn't get more classic but cool than Loewe.

A wardrobe made up of classics is actually the perfect blank canvas for the occasional statement piece.

It was a tough call between this dress in black and green.

Simple yet effective.

Here's another piece I actually did purchase. Spoiler alert: It's even prettier in person.

You'll use it so much.

I'd style these with a white linen shirt and black sandals all season.

I've been living in these and getting so many compliments.

A black halter top I can get behind.

Forget about whatever you planned to wear under a blazer and throw this on instead.

Amazon comes through yet again.

Our editorial director, Lauren, Slacked this to me, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since.

When it comes to denim, H&M just gets it right now.

Add the matching pants and you have a full look.

Look good, feel good.

I think I just need to buy this already rather than talking about it so much.

For that barely-there effect.

Another spring jacket I'm considering for my wardrobe.

A touch of leather is always a good idea.

Your everyday tote, elevated.

This year, denim shorts should be loose and slightly long to feel fresh.

For those comfort-first days.
