Italian brand Liu Jo is suing Kendall Jenner for allegedly breaching the terms of a $1.5 million USD contract. The complaint states that the reality star has yet to fulfill a requirement of two photoshoots for the label.

According to the lawsuit, Jenner only took part in one of the planned shoots. The second one was scheduled to take place in March 2020 but had been delayed due to the pandemic. After signing the contract in 2019, the brand had already paid the model $1.35 million USD and offered to "reschedule the second photoshoot so that it could take place in the Fall of 2020 for Liu Jo’s Spring/Summer 2021 campaign." Liu Jo adds that "by late September 2020, it became clear that Ms. Jenner had no intention to fulfill her obligations under the agreement by performing the second photoshoot [on a rescheduled date in] October 2020."

Jenner's team asserted that it was "impossible" for her to travel to Italy during the time, despite having gone to the country a month prior for a shoot with Versace. The celebrity also "claimed that she was unable to travel to Italy due to her health concerns relating to the coronavirus pandemic," but was also known to have "repeatedly violat[ed] CDC guidelines by engaging in multiple international non-essential trips and hosting large parties with her friends."

As a result, Liu Jo is seeking at least $1.8 million USD in damages. Jenner has yet to issue a statement on the situation.
