"It's a tribute to fashion that has a point of view." That's how Demna describes Balenciaga's new Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which just debuted in Paris. Harking back to the designer's earliest memories of fashion, which saw Demna "drawing looks on cardboard, cutting them out and making 'fashion shows' at [his] grandma's kitchen table," the showcase took place atop a giant table filled with celebrity guests sat either side.

Kicking things off with an audience that included Lindsay Lohan, Salma Hayek and Katy Perry, the show opened with a slew of surprising lingerie looks soundtracked to old-school Britney Spears.

WHO: A star-studded audience graced the dining room table, complete with friends of the house Paloma Elsesser and Nicole Kidman, alongside Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan and Naomi Campbell.

WHERE: Held at Cour du Dôme des Invalides, the show’s set design aimed to echo the dining table setting from Demna’s childhood.

SEE: The show kicked off with a series of lacy lingerie looks, complete with visible cut-outs and sheer detailing. After the sexy intro, SS25 was a return to form, presenting a range of shrunken hoodies emblazoned with words like “Fashion Designer” and “Human Being,” along with oversized sneakers, exaggerated evening gowns and pantashoes.

TOUCH: Enormous padding, flowing gowns and glittering embellishments elevated this season’s collections.

HEAR: This show’s soundtrack was an extra impressive one, curated once again by Demna’s partner BFRND. The mix included “Why Don’t You Do Right?” by Amy Irving plus our personal favorite: an original remix that he composed of “Gimme More” by Britney Spears.

TASTE: Shrunken silhouettes and slogans are still big for Balenciaga in SS25 but this time, we’re getting sexy with it…
