How Hypebae's Community Styles Rugby Tops and Polo Shirts

In our last community round-up, we looked at how our favorite baes are styling skirts over trousers. Now, we're firmly entering the Fall/Winter 2024 season and off the back of this summer's football jerseys trend, we're seeing their long-sleeved counterparts entering the limelight. This time, we're focusing on rugby tops and polo shirts, looking at how our vibrant community styles them in this transitional period.

As with any fashion trend, it's entirely up to you how you'd like to wear it, and there really is no wrong answer, but if recreating something you've already seen is your preferred method — we've got you covered.

So far, we've seen rugby-inspired tops and polo shirts styled in two key ways. The first is baggy and oversized and as a result, worn with equally baggy or oversized pants and the second, is usually more fitted or cropped and worn with a skirt and boots. Mostly, the preferred footwear choice appears to be a chunky boot, a pair of Timberlands or a pair of sneakers in a coordinating colorway. As with most of our favorite fits, accessorizing is the key and these vibrant, striped shirts look best when paired with a tonne of gold or silver jewelry.
