Supriya Lele FW24 Brings Sensuality to the Streets

Supriya Lele presented her Fall/Winter 2024 collection lookbook, fusing sensual silhouettes with the streets of the city. Drawing inspiration from urban spaces, the collection was captured in the old office block where her studio is situated, adding a sense of mundanity to an otherwise elevated collection.

Presenting a slew of sheer, fluid silhouettes, the collection also takes influence from William Gass' 1976 work "On Blue," which interrogates "the symbolic roots of the color blue." Juxtaposing heavy-waxed cotton and vinyl sheaths with delicate strapless dresses and draped jersey, the collection sees waist-skimming skirts reimagined in foil paisley, interspersed with glimmering ruched tops.

Most interestingly, FW24 also draws inspiration from the silhouettes of Lele's own wardrobe, mimicking funnel-neck ski jackets, cargo trousers and slip-on mules.
