Dior and Vissla Deliver a Wet Hot Summer With $3,300 USD Wetsuits

Dior has teamed up with surfwear brand Vissla this summer, offering expertly crafted, bespoke wetsuits for a season of catching waves.

Originally created in small batches, the meticulously designed gear is comprised of proprietary quick-dry recycled jersey fabrics, alongside custom hollow fiber thermal lining and fine Japanese foam. Taking surfwear to another level, a 3mm full suit arrives with a versatile hybrid zip-up entry way, making it easy to slip on and off. Recycled polyester takes shape in the form of a branded Dior "CD Diamond Jacquard" thermal torso lining, while GBS seams provide "maximum sea land performance." Joining the dynamic wetsuit is a spring suit and jacket derived from the same materials, but adapted for warmer weather.

"It's not often that one of the world's greatest luxury fashion brands reaches out because they admire products we create at Vissla," Rob McCarty, VP of Vissla Design shares in an exclusive press release. "This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I set out to collaborate and design the finest handmade surfing wetsuits in the world for Dior. It's all about the team. We created wetsuit designs with the right fit, function and materials. The Dior design team styled it as only a French fashion brand could and our expert manufacturing partner Axxe produced each wetsuit by hand to perfection in their facility in Japan."

The range aligns with the French Maison's second-annual partnership with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organization taking action against major ocean threats through its strategy ParleyAIR: Avoid, Intercept, Redesign.
