9 Brands That Are Giving Back This International Women's Day

Kicking off Women's History Month, International Women's Day (March 8) is an annual event dedicated to celebrating female empowerment and bringing global attention to women's rights. To help raise awareness for social issues such as gender equality, a number of brands are launching special projects, campaigns and charitable releases throughout the month. Pangaia has recruited illustrator Amber Vittoria to rework its essential T-shirts, with proceeds going towards the education of female refugees. Quay Australia has worked with Ashley Graham on a range of eyewear designs and is making a donation to non-profit organization Girls Inc. Elsewhere, Net-a-Porter has joined forces with 12 female designers to create exclusive pieces with the aim of helping women survivors of war and conflict. Maison Kitsuné is hosting a 24-hour-long DJ livestream to spotlight up-and-coming artists and support independent creatives.

3.PARADIS, the fashion label loved by Gigi and Bella Hadid, has created a limited-edition T-shirt design that pays homage to creative director Emeric Tchatchoua's mother and grandmother. The brand has also joined forces with The Shoebox Project to help raise funds for homeless women. All proceeds of the tee will go towards the public charity that helps those at risk of homelessness in the U.S., Canada and the UK.

Alo Yoga #AloEmpowerHer

Alo Yoga has launched its latest #AloEmpowerHer campaign dedicated to Women's History Month. Through the social initiative, the activewear label is donating $1 USD to Catalyst Inc. for every post hashtagged #AloEmpowerHer. The brand has additionally launched items in a purple "Lavender Dusk" shade as a nod to the official color of International Women's Day.

Amber Vittoria x Pangaia


Pangaia has tapped illustrator Amber Vittoria to adorn its sustainable everyday basics. The capsule includes three of the artist's prints that celebrate women for Women's History Month and International Women's Day. The upcycled tees arrive as part of Pangaia's "More Than Just" campaign, which spotlights females in science and the environment. 50 percent of sales from the collection will be donated to the non-profit organization Choose Love to support the education of female refugees.

Ashley Graham x Quay Australia



Quay Australia has enlisted Ashley Graham for an eyewear collection dedicated to International Women's Day, spreading the message that "confidence is Quay." The range features sunnies and blue light glasses, ideal for both WFH and leisurely days at the park. Along with the partnership, the sunglasses brand is donating $100,000 USD to Girls Inc., a non-profit organization teaching girls to be strong, smart and bold. The donation will directly help girls aged from five to 18 in the U.S. and Canada through mentoring.

Casetify "Her Impact Matters"

In honor of International Women's Day, Casetify has launched a collection of newly designed "Her Impact Matters" tech accessories as part of its charitable Casetify Cares initiative. The range, which supports Equality Now, enlists an all-female artist crew to create phone cases with powerful phrases and slogans such as "Misogyny Bores Me." Throughout the month of March, $5 USD of every purchase will go towards the non-profit organization.

Circumference x Every Mother Counts

For the International Women's Day weekend, Circumference is donating 10 percent of all web proceeds to Every Mother Counts, an organization that aims to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for all mothers. On top of that, the beauty label is offering 10 percent discounts on all website purchases from March 5 to 8.

Fleur du Mal x Gyrl Wonder

From March 6 to 8, lingerie and apparel label Fleur du Mal will be donating 10 percent of its sales to Gyrl Wonder, which works to support young women of color aged from 17 to 23. The non-profit organization provides those in need with mentors to help with their professional development, as well as mental and physical health and awareness.

Maison Kitsuné Women's Day 24h Mix

Maison Kitsuné has joined forces with shesaid.so, an independent community of women and gender minorities in the music industry, to highlight 13 up-and-coming female artists from diverse countries as part of its Kitsuné Musique initiative. Taking place in the form of a 24-hour livestream, the initiative also includes the newly created shesaid.so x Kitsuné Women's Day Fund, which helps support independent freelancers, contractors and artists.

Luxury retailer Net-a-Porter is launching its #PowerToChange campaign in partnership with Women for Women International. For the initiative, 12 female designers have created exclusive, charitable items that will be 100 percent dedicated to the non-profit organization. These pieces include tees by Stella McCartney, Emilia Wickstead, Westman Atelier, Tove, Anya Hindmarch, Jennifer Fisher, Simone Rocha, Amina Muaddi and Ninety Percent; jewelry by Roxanne Assoulin and Alighieri; and homeware by Anissa Kermiche. Additionally, Net-a-Porter will donate $1 USD to Women for Women International for every public TikTok and Instagram post tagged #PowerToChange, @womenforwomen and @netaporter from March 1 to 8.
