Stella McCartney and Japanese Artist Yoshitomo Nara Launch SS21 "Shared" Capsule

Stella McCartney has teamed up with Japanese contemporary artist Yoshitomo Nara on her latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Dubbed "Shared," the capsule features unisex urban styles that marry laidback luxury aesthetics with utilitarian wearability.

Inspired by the pioneering father of the Japanese Neo-pop movement, the line bridges art, subculture and street culture. Sweaters and tees are emblazoned with Nara's iconic slogans such as "We are Punks," "Change the History" and "Don't Waste Another Day." Meanwhile, McCartney's signature Savile Row tailoring is recut into bold, relaxed silhouettes in the form of double-breasted blazers paired with utilitarian cargo pants. Elsewhere, classic British trench coats are reworked with stripe details and the Old Bond Street logo in a clean white hue.

In knitwear, cardigans and crewneck sweaters are crafted from organic cotton yarn that sport OBS logo patches for added contrast. Other offerings include hoodies and sweatpants, as well as vegan leather pants and shorts. Take a closer look at the campaign above.
