LOEWE Celebrates Its Rich History and Heritage With a New Exhibition
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Thu, 16 Jan 2025 HypebaeLOEWE just announced its first major brand exhibition, taking place in Tokyo this Spring. Titled "Crafted World," the new exhibition aims to celebrate the rich history of the house, alongside its Spanish heritage and commitment to craftsmanship. Looking at 179 years of creativity and innovation, the exhibition will document the brand's evolution over generations.
Initially, "Crafted World" began as a traveling exhibition in Shanghai last year, landing in Tokyo in March. Designed in collaboration with OMA, a studio that is renowned for some of the most exciting buildings of the 21st century, "Crafted World" takes visitors on a journey through LOEWE's evolution, from a leather-making collective to a luxury fashion house.
Featuring sights, sounds and interactive rooms, the exhibition offers a deep dive into the visual inspiration of LOEWE, including Studio Ghibli and the Kyoto-based ceramics studio Suna Fujita. Elsewhere, the exhibition features architectural installations, cultural projects and documentary videos, plus works by LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize finalists and winners.
