Adidas Gets Comfortable with the Supernova Rise 2
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Tue, 10 Dec 2024 HypebaeLast year's release of the adidas Supernova Rise was a refreshing introduction to the running footwear landscape, prioritizing comfort and stability in a world that's infiltrated with intimidating jargon and high mileage goals. The intention behind its release was straightforward: to get more people to start running. A year later, the brand is staying on pace with this mission, releasing a sophomore edition in the Supernova Rise 2 featuring a reduced weight and revamped heel construction.
Since the inception of the Supernova Rise franchise, comfort has been the central feature of the footwear. The latest iteration continues to hone in on this with a redesigned mesh upper that reduces the weight by 4%. It also maintains the full length Dreamstrike+ foam midsole, but with a revamped formula. The Dreamstrike+ technology is adapted from Lightstrike Pro, the material found in adidas' race-minded Adizero line, and serves as an example of how the brand translates its elite level technology for more casual athletes. Additionally, the Supernova Rise 2 touts a new heel construction notable for its refined collar that adds stability and reduces friction for an ideal fit.
In other adidas Running news, the brand recently announced a wider release of adizero EVO SL. The sneaker, which was unveiled as a limited drop during the New York City Marathon, is now available at select retailers. The adizero EVO SL is also derived from a high performing race shoe, the Adios Pro Evo 1, which has been reengineered for non-race days with the aim of bringing both style and speed to training.
