This month, Australian label Modibodi expands its library of protective products with the launch of its first Intimates range: the Renaissance collection. Defying all conventions around period underwear, the new arrival fuses delicate, lacy materials with leak-proof protection to deliver a reliable yet sexy lingerie set.

Whether briefs or thongs, each style adapts the typical look of lingerie bottoms by swapping out the bottom panel with the brand’s trademark three-layer technology. Scientifically proven to absorb moisture, the first layer – made up of merino wool – takes on moisture and controls odor, working together with the microfibre middle layer for quick drying. A single waterproof layer wraps around the panel, offering wearers a much-needed breathable quality. Like the wider range, the bottoms come with different absorbency levels to match your flow cycle.

Lending a sexy feel to the functional protective layer, Modibodi introduces an innovative Klauber lace to select bottoms. As well as being high-stretch, soft, and lightweight, the material perfectly replicates the characteristics of traditional lace with a scalloped edge and geometric detailed designs. Keeping the pieces fresh and contemporary, they drop in bold tones of orange, purple, red, and navy.

No lingerie set is complete without a coordinating bralette, so to round off the collection, Modibodi brings forth several plunge-neck, wire-free bralettes. Each item comes crafted with the same Klauber lace as well as contrasting trim that runs under each cup constructed from recycled nylon. Wear the set under a sheer blouse or mesh top to reveal the scalloped edge and bright tones, or keep it intimate and adorn the items in the sheets.
