From sex to dating, every woman knows that these experiences can make life more sweet -- and at times, chaotic too. Whether you're consuming boysober or #tradwife, aka traditional wife, content, the point is: you're tuned in. One aspect that many women may have been looking over, dating app eharmony says, is toxic masculinity.

According to the "New Leading Man" study, "Conflicting expectations, combined with unfair traditional stereotypes, like being strong both physically and mentally, can create challenges for men trying to navigate dating and form authentic connections."

The study's findings reflect what feminists have been screaming for generations: the patriarchy doesn't benefit anyone long-term. The study continues to name the top three areas where men struggle: finances, weight and fashion. Men have reported that social media only increases mixed messaging.

Todd Baratz LMHC, an eharmony's relationship expert says, "When men face these mixed messages, it can lead to confusion and insecurity, making it challenging to approach relationships with confidence and authenticity. This often results in a lack of vulnerability, preventing genuine connections from developing."

So, do you think you need to unlearn toxic masculinity?

If so, eharmony has a few tips.

1. Shoot your shot: No matter who you are making the first move shouldn’t be gender-specific

2. Embrace the short king: Don’t let physical appearance “shorten” your dating pool!

3. Get fluid: Fluid thinking opens up opportunities to be vulnerable, express yourself, and find mutual support in relationships! Communication leads to confidence: In and outside of the bedroom!
