33 Buzzy Accessories That Are Taking My Outfits From Good to Great

Natalie Cantell  Mon, 04 Dec 2023  Who What Wear

If you know me at all, you know that accessories are really where I come to play. I'm happily settled into this current iteration of my personal style and have made some solid investments in winter apparel, so my more frivolous seasonal dabbles (and relentless scrolling) tend to be mainly focused on the accessory department.

Whether you're looking to spend just a little on something fun or really invest in something special, this season's offerings are even more covetable than usual. There's no shortage of polished footwear and belts to dress up your denim, trending bags that you'll never get sick of carrying, and all the cozy hats, gloves, and scarves that are making this New York weather a teeny bit more palatable. Note that they don't need to be loud to make a statement—plenty of the picks below are low-key classics, but I guarantee they'll get you compliments.

This buckle is a piece of art.

Very into fresh white kitten heels.

Aside from the trending whipstitch detail, my favorite thing about this Rag & Bone scarf is that there's a matching sweater.

And mittens.

Caps for winter are underrated.

Sézane knows how to make your schlep more special.

This. Necklace. Looks. Expensive.

Patent-leather slingbacks are currently making lazy outfits feel cooler all over town.

Bonus points for layering on the metallic trend.

We aren't sleeping on fringe.

The perfect slouch to these boots.

If you're not looking to overinvest in red.

Matte wool tights in brown or gray are bringing that Miu Miu energy.

I'm recommending padded shoppers for winter to absolutely everyone.

Khaite's Fair Isle collection is defining knitwear this season.

Just a hint of metallic.

Or more than just a hint of metallic.

Brown suede is having a very understated and cool moment.

I bought this sell-out scarf in July and have patiently waited four months to wear it. I have zero regrets.

Have a big-earring moment with jeans and a gray marle sweater.

My favorite belt is back in stock. I wear it at least twice a week and always get asked about it.

The knot details.

I'm staring at these Reformation heels and trying to convince myself I don't need to buy the Prada version.

Gulp.

Thanks to Eliza, I'm convinced my wardrobe needs a little velvet.

If you missed out on those Khaite earrings.

Here for all the chocolate-brown details.

This is the bag of the moment. Invest with confidence.

Trust a pair of opera gloves to bring a little drama.

Perfect and simple.

Hoodie balaclavas are a thing we're doing, and that's all you need to know.

The best value leather belts in town.

And finally, here's are flat Mary Janes just in case you haven't bought a pair yet. The square toe is it.
