With December's holidays officially behind us, it's time to focus our attention on the upcoming Lunar New Year, taking place on January 29. To celebrate, New Balance has dropped a new collection of sneakers, perfect for stepping into the Year of the Snake.

The sneaker brand's latest drop introduces new takes on the 1906R, 740, 1000 and WRPD Runner. The 1906R stands out with its early '00s inspiration and blends modern design with a tech-driven edge. The gradient mesh upper is paired with layered overlays while the dark grey heel counter contrasts with the soft color shades.

Elsewhere, the 740 embraces a more gorp-y vibe, with its clean white mesh upper and subtle tonal overlays. The gradient midsole adds just the right touch of color, keeping things clean while maintaining a minimalist silhouette. It's the perfect balance to stay true to that rugged, outdoorsy aesthetic.

The 1000 revives a '99 classic with a chunkier and more assertive design. Its all-black construction is punctuated by silver outlines and leather overlays to give a heavy contrast. The "1000" graphic on the side and the prominent midsole give it an urban, almost sculptural feel that's both stylish and heavy.

Finally, to round out the collection, the new WRPD Runner gives a streamlined futuristic vibe. In gray and beige, it's all about the oversized "N" logos and smooth, thick translucent midsoles to combine modern aesthetics with a sporty flair.
