Last month, Birkenstock teamed up with Central Saint Martins' MA Fashion students to rework its sandals. Now, the footwear brand has returned with another collaborative collection in partnership with London-based design studio Toogood.

"Birkenstock and Toogood is a combination of genuine craftsmanship and uncompromising quality," Birkenstock's CEO Oliver Reichert said in a press release. "The unique take and talent of Faye Toogood creates a whole new version of our iconic designs. We look forward to seeing what is the next level of functional design."

The line sees reworked versions of Birkenstock's classic unisex silhouettes such as the Forager, Mudlark and Beachcomber. Inspired by the idea of objet trouvé, the styles arrive in new cuts and puffy forms, and are crafted from a signature palette of materials including canvas, felt and suede. Accompanying the sandals are a range of workwear and accessories. The items are dressed in shades of black, white and gray, which complement the footwear offerings.

In addition, the collaboration includes a custom-made bed that "applies Birkenstock’s health-promoting principles for walking and standing to lying and sleeping." The luxe piece of furniture features layers of canvas and leather, along with a cork base with the signature Birkenstock natural mattress and slatted frame.
