For its latest product drop, UGG has unveiled the sustainable "Plant Power" collection. The range features three unisex silhouettes – the Fluff Sugar Platform, Fluff Sugar Sandal and Neumel Natural – crafted with carbon-neutral, plant-based materials.

"At UGG, we are committed to doing our part to combat climate change," Andrea O’Donnell, UGG and Koolaburra by UGG of Deckers Brands' president, said in a press release. "Our design team took inspiration from our iconic styles and created new silhouettes made from carbon-neutral, plant-based materials. The resulting 'Plant Power' collection tells a story about what is possible, and it is an exciting step in on our journey towards a more sustainable future."

Derived from renewable sugarcane, the SugarSole™ foam outsole of the Fluff styles reduces the need to use "fossil fuels by replacing [them with] petroleum-based materials." According to the brand, sugarcane is a rainwater-dependent resource that extracts carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In addition, the fluff fabric is produced from plant-based TENCEL™ lyocell fibers, which are "made of wood pulp converted into regenerated cellulosic fibers sourced from responsibly harvested trees."

As for the Neumel Natural, the boot's upper is constructed out of 55 percent cotton and 45 percent hemp, while the cozy lining is also crafted from TENCEL™ Lyocell. Rounding out the design are the handcrafted soles made with LACTAE HEVEA® latex gathered from the Hevea rubber tree.

Priced at $110 USD, $120 USD and $140 USD respectively, the Fluff Sugar Sandal, Fluff Sugar Platform and Neumel Natural are now available to purchase via UGG's web store.
