Machine Gun Kelly Changes Upcoming Album Name After He and Travis Barker Got It Tatted

Machine Gun Kelly was so sure his forthcoming album name was going to be called Born With Horns, that he and Travis Barker got matching tattoos of it on their arms. However, the pop punk singer recently changed his mind and had to share the news with Barker, who luckily took it well.

"We're friends no matter what, right?" Kelly said, as seen in a video uploaded to his official Instagram account. The drummer-slash-producer replied, "Of course." MGK continued, "Remember when we got the album name ... the new album name tattooed on our arms?" The clip then cut to a video from six months ago of the musicians showing off their fresh ink. Then, it hit Barker that Kelly changed the album name, which led them to burst into laughter before the new title was revealed: Mainstream Sellout.

Mainstream Sellout is expected to be MGK's sixth studio album; his second collaborative project with Barker, following 2020's Tickets to My Downfall.

While it remains unclear when exactly Mainstream Sellout will drop, we do know it's going to happen sometime this year followed by another LP. "I know the rumor was I was dropping New Year's Eve, but ... See you in 2022," Kelly tweeted on December 31, 2021. A few days later, he wrote, "Two albums this year."

Watch MGK hilariously deliver the forthcoming album title change to Barker, and see their matching ink below.
