SM Entertainment is ending 2021 with a bang by treating fans with an online concert dubbed "SMTOWN 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA." K-pop enthusiasts can expect high-quality and synchronized performances from their favorite groups including NCT, aespa, Red Velvet and more.

The concept of "SMCU Express" or "SM Culture Universe" stems from Chief Producer Sooman Lee's vision of a metaverse called "KWANGYA." This large-scale project incorporates a media exhibition and compilation album in continuation of the "SMTOWN Live" series, which started in 2008.

The compilation album, 2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS, released on December 27, becoming SM Entertainment's first winter album since 2011. Meanwhile, the media exhibition serves as a teaser to the main event and will be displayed on the first floor of SM's new headquarters starting today.

Fans of the multiverse can tune in to the concert on YouTube, Beyond LIVE and LG U+ Idol Live platforms on December 31. The album can be purchased on the SM Global Shop for $254 USD.
