Following the Astroworld Festival casualties last month where 10 people lost their lives during a crowd rush, Travis Scott has officially been dropped from the Coachella 2022 lineup.

Days after the tragic incident, a petition was created on Change.org, which aims to reach 75,000 signatures to cancel the rapper's performances at all of AEG, Paul Tollet and Goldenvoice's upcoming festivals. With now over 61,000 signatures as of writing, Coachella has decided to take Scott out.

According to Variety's sources, "the festival informed Scott’s longtime agent, Cara Lewis of the Cara Lewis Group, of its intent to pull Scott from the bill, which he was to headline, and that it would pay a kill fee for the cancelation, typically 25%." In addition, other insiders have shared that Scott offered to do the show for free after he heard that he was being removed from the festival.

Back in January 2020, Coachella revealed its lineup, which Scott was set to headline. No details on who will take Scott's place have been confirmed yet, so stay tuned while we wait for more details.
