BTS and Megan Thee Stallion are set to perform their hit "Butter" at the American Music Awards on November 21. This is the first time the K-pop group and the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper are joining forces to perform the remixed version of the song since its release in August.

This world-premiere performance is highly anticipated considering the featured version of the song almost didn't come out in the first place. It turns out, Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, had to submit a petition against her record label three days before the track was released.

“[Megan Pete is seeking] emergency relief from the Court before this Friday, August 27, 2021, to allow her new music to be released this week as previously scheduled,” legal documents obtained by Variety stated. “If Pete is not allowed to release a new track this Friday on which she is the featured artist in a remix with BTS of the song called, ‘Butter,’ her music career will suffer irreparable damage, including a devastating impact to her relationships with her fans and with other recording artists in the music industry."

The AMAs will be broadcasted live on Sunday, November 21 starting at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. You can also stream the award show on Hulu starting the following day.
