Doechii Hints at Something Big with "Denial Is a River" Show Trailer

Doechii is throwing it back to the '90s in a big way. On Thursday, the rising rap sensation dropped a teaser for Denial Is a River Show. The trailer, set to the theme song of the beloved sitcom Family Matters, has fans buzzing with theories. Could it be a music video for her track "Denial Is a River?" Or maybe something more ambitious? Whatever it is, all will be revealed on January 2.

The nostalgic teaser kicks off with Doechii stepping into a bustling house, a nod to the classic sitcom's opening credits. The cast is introduced one by one, including: Zach Fox, ScHoolboy Q, Rickey Thompson, Baby Tate and Teezo Touchdown. Just like the sitcom's intro, Doechii and her crew are seen dancing in the kitchen, window-hopping, joint-smoking and living room brawling.

While the musician hasn't confirmed whether the teaser hints at a music video, a short film or an actual show, she's keeping the intrigue alive. She directed fans to follow the Instagram account DenialIsARiverShow, which describes the project as "Starring @doechii and friends."
