UPDATE (March 31, 2023): boygenius have finally released their debut album, The Record, which is comprised of 12 songs. The supergroup, made up of Phoebe BridgersLucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, first dropped "$20," "Emily I’m Sorry," and "True Blue," which have now received an interconnected music video titled "the film," directed by Kristen Stewart.

The 14-minute long visual, consisting of three music videos, gives each musician a storyline. Watch "the film" above and stream The Record below.

ORIGINAL STORY (January 26, 2023): Kristen Stewart is stepping into the music scene, well sort of. The Twilight star is set to direct three of boygenius' upcoming music videos.

The report was confirmed by Rolling Stone; the publication interviewed the band for their latest cover story and recently shared an additional article stating fun facts that didn't make the cover story -- the K-Stew news being one of them. While it hasn't been stated which songs Stewart will direct music videos for, many seem to think it could be the three already-released tracks part of their upcoming debut album, The Record.

boygenius, which consists of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, announced The Record last week and dropped three singles -- "$20," "Emily I’m Sorry," and "True Blue."

It had been a while since the three musicians had worked on music together, but the COVID-19 pandemic brought them together.

The Record drops on March 31. Stay tuned for more news.
