Founded by Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst in 2009, Armadillo is a global rug brand known for its handcrafted designs made from natural materials. For its latest release, the label has tapped London-based interior design studio House of Grey to create a collection of rugs inspired by the "purchase well" mindset of acquiring only what is needed.

"It came about quite organically. We have a longstanding collaborative relationship, with Louisa styling several of our previous campaigns, so it felt effortless working together," Fried said in a press release. "Beyond an aesthetic appreciation, we both believe in curating meaningful, ever-evolving spaces unswayed by the tastes of the day." Pottharst added: "Throughout the design process, we sought to evoke a sense of tranquillity while pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and technique."

Keeping sustainability and minimalism in mind, the "Ellipse" range includes five styles arriving in earthy colorways and textural combinations. Described as a "conscious collection," the pieces are made from carefully sourced natural fibers, premium jute, New Zealand wool and pure silk. In addition, the color of the rugs is either left in their original shade, hand-dyed or sun-dried for a more abundant texture.

Take a look at the offerings in the gallery above. House of Grey x Armadillo's "Ellipse" rug collection is now available online.
