Following allegations of cultural appropriation last year, Kendall Jenner's 818 Tequila brand is embroiled in yet another controversy.

TMZ recently reported that Austin-based label Tequila 512 is filing a lawsuit against Jenner's company on the grounds of plagiarism, stating its logo and color scheme have been "blatantly" copied. According to the court documents, the brand claims that "[the] defendant chose to copy plaintiff's distinctive black lettering inside a vertical yellow rectangle." Additionally, the documents highlight the fact that both labels' names are an ode to the area codes where each company is based. The claim also pointed out that Kim Kardashian's Hollywood app incorporated a bottle akin to 512 to promote 818.

Tequila 512 has requested 818 to cease using its branding and demanded compensation on the premise of trademark infringement. 818 told TMZ that it believes "the allegations are without merit," although Jenner and Kardashian have yet to respond on the matter.
