BTS member Suga has tested positive for COVID-19.

The musician's agency HYBE Corporation took to Weverse to make the announcement: "BTS member Suga has tested positive for COVID-19 after flying into Korea on December 23. He was in quarantine when he received the result this morning." The company clarified that the artist had been fully vaccinated in late August, and currently isn't showing any symptoms in particular.

"Suga, who has had a number of personal engagements in the U.S. during BTS’ official time off, had tested negative for the PCR test taken before traveling to the U.S... He received positive results during quarantine, and there was no contact with the other members." The K-pop giant concluded its message by stating that it prioritizes the health and safety of its artists.
