Gold House Announces Annual List of 100 Most Influential Asians

Gold House, a non-profit collective of Asian and Pacific Islander leaders, has unveiled this year's A100 list, an annual roundup of the most influential Asians across entertainment, journalism, politics and more. This year, the organization focused on excellence in achievement and eminence in activism, the latter being particularly crucial amidst a spike in anti-Asian hate.

Recognized under the category of Activism, Advocacy and Politics, Vice President Kamala Harris -- the first female, Black and Asian vice president -- holds an important spot on the list. Cynthia Choi, Manjusha Kulkarni and Dr. Russell Jeung, the co-founders of Stop AAPI Hate, also made the cut alongside a collective honoree, "K-Pop Fandom," acknowledging the scores of K-pop fans who mobilized on social media to support Black Lives Matter protestors and thwart pro-Trump rallies.

Also in K-pop, BLACKPINK is honored for their chart-topping contributions to music. Fellow artists Olivia Rodrigo, the breakout star behind viral hit "Driver's License," rapper Saweetie and Grammy Award winner H.E.R. are recognized as well.

Other notable figures include tennis champion Naomi Osaka, Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao, Nextshark Founder Benny Luo and Bowen Yang, Saturday Night Live's first Chinese American cast member.
