Sandra Oh Delivers Brief yet Powerful Speech at Stop Asian Hate Rally

Over the weekend, cities across the U.S. held rallies, protests and vigils to demand justice for the eight victims of last week's anti-Asian hate crimes in Atlanta. Actor Sandra Oh, who is of South Korean descent, attended a rally in Oakland, Pennsylvania, where she delivered a brief, impassioned speech on solidarity in the face of racism.

"For many of us in our community, this is the first time we are even able to voice our fear and our anger and I am so grateful to everyone willing to listen," Oh began. "One thing that I know is many of us in our community are very scared, and I understand that. And one way to kind of go through and get through our fear is to reach out to our communities," she continued. "I will challenge everyone here, if you see something, will you help me? If you see one of our sisters or brothers in need, will you help us?” she asked, met with a resounding yes. The Grey's Anatomy and Killing Eve star ended her speech by declaring, "I am proud to be Asian. I belong here."
