Rombaut's New "Core" Collection Is All About Accessibility
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Wed, 23 Apr 2025 HypebaeParisian label Rombaut just announced the release of its new "Core" collection, offering a stripped-back approach to its signature designs. In a bid to make its pieces more accessible to its community, the collection comprises classic styles at a lower price point, designed to become a "core" uniform.
The result of years of research, "Core" features new brand classics, built on an ethos of innovation, durability and timelessness. Offering a fresh take on its Boccaccio style -- loved by the likes of Charli XCX, Billie Eilish and Bella Hadid -- the collection features two iterations of the silhouette, in a boot and lower style. Crafted from recycled plastic and 30% recycled rubber, the silhouettes are available in classic hues of black and white.
"Our aim with Core is to strip things back to what matters most — community, creativity, and conscious design," says founder Mats Rombaut in a press release. "We want to empower our audience to wear their values without compromising on style or accessibility," he adds.
Celebrating the collection release is a pared-back campaign inspired by artist Erwin Wurm, known for his surrealist sculptures and distorted version of reality.
