Les Benjamins Takes Us to Seoul for SS25
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Fri, 04 Apr 2025 HypebaeLes Benjamins, the Istanbul-based label, just launched its new Spring/Summer 2025 collection, titled "From a Thousand Miles Away, Unconditional Love." Taking inspiration from the unique bond between the people of Turkey and South Korea -- which developed during the Korean War in 1950 -- the new collection celebrates themes of courage, cultural exchange and unity.
As a result, the offering features military-inspired silhouettes revived with a modern twist and reimagined through fluid fabrics inspired by Korean hanoks. Elsewhere, the collection favors camo motifs and intricate jacquard patterns in a bid to represent empathy and unity. Spotlighting "the profound beauty of cross-cultural bonds," according to the collection notes, SS25 aims to bridge the gap between classic and contemporary.

Speaking about his inspiration, founder Bünyamin Aydin says, "My first day in Seoul was unforgettable - I was eager to immerse myself in the city, experience its rich culture, and connect with its people. Those initial encounters were incredible, leaving a lasting impression on me. The moment I mentioned I was Turkish, their response was immediate: 'Oh, brother country!' It was deeply moving to feel that connection and hear more about our shared history—our brotherhood."
Aydin continues, "My time in Seoul deeply inspired this collection, which I present today as a tribute to the bond we share. When people wear these pieces, I want them to feel that connection—the unbreakable unity that transcends distance, a thousand miles away, yet bound by unconditional love. In today’s world, this sentiment holds even greater meaning: the ability to share love, no matter where we come from."
