The New Acne Studios x Kappa Collection Is a Masterclass in Blokecore

Acne Studios just dropped a pretty unlikely collaboration, teaming up with Italian sportswear brand Kappa. Launching a 22-piece capsule collection, the new offering blends Kappa's technical sportswear expertise with Acne's luxury aesthetic, resulting in a slew of sport-inspired silhouettes.

The collection also features a range of denim pieces, sneakers and a special version of the Acne Studios Bowlina bag -- most recently sported by Charli XCX.

"I have always loved Kappa. Rebels wear Kappa, which appeals to me – it's sportswear for the cool kids," says Jonny Johansson, Creative Director of Acne Studios. "In a world where the lines between classic workwear, streetwear, ready-to-wear and sportswear are blurred, it feels totally natural for Acne Studios to collaborate with Kappa on a collection that represents a modern way of dressing," he continues.

Though Acne's Kappa link-up might come as a surprise to some, the brand has had more of an affinity with sportswear than we think. Frequently dropping football-inspired silhouettes, this collaboration acts as an evolution of Acne's love of sportswear, taking inspiration from retro football jerseys and shoes.

Standout pieces include the signature pink flame-printed football jersey, plus the coordinating second-skin tees and, of course, the flame-emblazoned Bowlina. Elsewhere, pale-wash denim, track pants, logo caps and sneakers round out the collaborative offering.
