Drag Icon Kim Chi Drops Mochi Gummies With Sundae School

RuPaul’s Drag Race icon, Kim Chi, teases a new collaboration with Korean streetwear boutique,  Sundae School.

Releasing at 4:20pm EST on January 23rd, Kimchi Yuzu is Sundae School's newest limited-edition gummy. If you're new to the brand, its best-selling mochi gummies are always the hype and this new drop is brought to life with Kim Chi's campy aesthetic. According to the press release, Kimchi Yuzu "combines the bold spice of kimchi powder with the sweet brightness of yuzu."

The campaign "Kim Chi Over Flower" campaign launches just in time for Lunar New Year. Kim Chi lends her "larger-than-life personality into a campy, comic-inspired world that pays homage to vintage Korean pop culture.

Equal parts spicy and sweet, the campaign trailer opens with the hardest graphics reading "She's packing heat... The story unfolds like a transformative journey: the heat and passion of kimchi melt into the sweet allure of yuzu, with Kim Chi embodying the evolution from a hot-and-spicy kimchi-making ahjumma to a glowing, powerful yuzu matriarch. The visuals, drenched in bold colors, kitsch illustrations, and dramatic typography, create a humorous yet heartfelt narrative that celebrates transformation, nostalgia and celebration."
