'Squid Game' Star Hoyeon Jung Is the New Face of Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton has named Squid Game star Hoyeon Jung as its newest global brand ambassador, joining global K-pop group BTS. The deal comes after the model's successful acting debut in the Korean Netflix show, which has become one of the streaming giant's most popular titles.

"I'm honored to kickstart my acting career with Louis Vuitton, which I've worked with throughout my modeling career. I'm looking forward to the partnership as a global ambassador for the brand," Jung shared in a statement. Nicolas Ghesquière added: "I immediately fell in love with Hoyeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago."

Jung made her global catwalk debut back in 2016 as a Louis Vuitton exclusive. The star, who took over Fashion Month with her signature red hair, recently marked a breakthrough moment with her role as Saebyeok in Squid Game. Upon the show's premiere, Jung became the most-followed Korean actress on Instagram, surpassing major names like Song Hyekyo.
