Les Benjamins' founder and creative director Bünyamin Aydin has given urban silhouettes a multicultural and historical twist for the Spring/Summer 2021 season. Dubbed "Silk Road Services," the theme of the latest collection's campaign focuses on "deconstructed hybrids of sportswear and traditional tailoring archetypes," as per a press release.

Sandy golden hues are matched with shades of tangerine, terra cotta, henna red, blue and purple, which are inspired by the desert and sea trade routes of the Silk Road. "The Silk Road was historically critical for culture and trade, not only the trade of goods but ideas as well," said Aydin.

Created in partnership with British artist Neil Raitt, select styles feature two of Raitt's exclusive artworks influenced by the Silk Road. Standouts include the Camel Utility Pants, as well as the multicolored halter dress arriving in oceanic hues of blue and purple. "For this collection, I was inspired by the caravans that would carry goods along with this vast network. I enjoyed inventing the camels in painted form, and imagining the kind of goods they would be carrying, juxtaposing notions of luxury and labor," Raitt explained. "My paintings weave together different landscapes, with repeating mountains and map-like compositions."
