Ryan Destiny Receives High Praises for 'The Fire Inside' Role

Viewers are loving the new film, The Fire Inside starring Ryan Destiny as renowned boxer, Claressa "T-Rex" Shields.

Directed by Rachel Morrison, The Fire Inside details Shields' early boxing career. During the press run, Shield notoriously made her stance: "Listen, my biggest thing went, they told me they were doing a biopic about me.. I said 'This is not a Rocky movie.' Don't play with my boxing. So if you're going to get somebody, she has to train."

Given her quote, fans questioned whether the film would truly live up to the hype. Well, just two days after the film's release, the movie received high praise -- especially Destiny for her role.

"The Fire Inside had me crying like a baby great movie. 10/10," a fan tweeted. Another shared, "Everyone needs to go see this movie. Add it to your nosferatu, complete unknown, or baby girl viewing days."

From intimate details of Shield's arduous career to Destiny's ability to shapeshifter into Shields herself, viewers fell in love with the Michigan native's story.
