NLE Choppa Accused of Queer Baiting

Rapper NLE Choppa seemingly comes out as queer on Twitter and immediately battles queer-baiting accusations.

Before dropping the new fit pic, the Memphis rapper announced his upcoming performance at an Atlanta Black Gay Pride event. He defended his decision on stage, stating: "I just wanna let you know I'm not here for no gimmick," he added. "I'm not here for no extra numbers. I'm not here for no extra views 'cause I already got it if we're keeping it 100. I'm really here to make a difference and show y'all it's love, bruh. We Black, no matter what." Shortly after, he posted about "Coming Out" and fans immediately side-eyed the tweet.

Some fans quickly came to his defense: "If Bad Bunny can do it so can NLE Choppa idc idc," one user wrote. However, the "Slut Me Out" star has a controversial history with women, leading many to believe his queer-friendly era is performative and an effort to cover up a sketchy past.
