"Is liking my story flirting? Or am I delulu?"

Hey bae! The rules of social media and flirting are… very unclear. For reference, the 50/50 debate that none of us can seem to get on the same page about.

Liking someone’s story can be a casual way to interact with people. For example, liking someone’s story because you love a piece they’re wearing or want to give them their flowers for the pull. But it can also be a form of shooting your shot or putting yourself on someone’s radar.

Pay attention to which stories they're liking. Are these selfies where you look super cute? Or random items with no personal connection. The more personal, the more likely they like you.

If someone’s been liking your story and you’re interested, shoot your shot and reach out. Don’t be shy and settle for posting curated stories that are clearly tailored for them. (We can tell). Instead, tap into your bold side and reply to one of their stories to start a conversation.

If you’re unsure whether they’re interested and would like to scope the scene a bit more, like their story and see if they like yours back. If they’re flirting with you with intentions to spark a conversation, they’ll reach out! In a sense, this is you giving them the green light.

Now, it's important to note that some people will simply like your stories and loom behind-the-scenes, without ever making an effort. It's similar to those guys who reply to your story with heart eyes and disappear – that’s low-hanging fruit that doesn’t have to warrant any action from you.

Liking your story can be a simple form of interacting with no expectations, or it can be the first step in a new plot for your fall romance. Either way, don't be the person that watches their crush like their story or simply swipes up with heart eyes and disappears. Make a move!
