If Our Editors Had $100 Maximum to Spend This Spring, Here's What They'd Buy

Judith Jones  Thu, 18 Mar 2021  Who What Wear

There's no question we editors come across a lot of new products daily, always keeping our fingers on the pulse of the latest fashion items from our favorite brands and retailers. It's for this reason that each one of us seems to have a continuous shopping wish list on our phone or computer (mine comes in the form of never-ending tabs open on my computer) so we can be the first to scoop up those sartorial gems when we come across something we love.

Curious to see what's on everyone's wish list for spring, I asked my fellow editors to share what exactly they would buy if they had $100 to spend for the new season. From bright and bold lipsticks to get us in the mood for spring to chic new sandals to embrace the warmer weather ahead, scroll below as our Who What Wear editors reveal what they'd buy (or have already bought!) with $100 this spring.

"This sweater is so versatile and will be great for that winter-to-spring transitional time. You can layer a turtleneck under it one day and wear it as a tank the next. It also looks a lot more expensive than $26."

"The sandals that were pretty much sold out everywhere by the end of last summer are back, and I'm weirdly into this olive green color."

"A cute bucket hat is a must this spring (just look at Hailey Bieber, who's been wearing them constantly). I love that this one is black and white but still fun."

"Once the weather starts to warm up I can't wait to wear cushy thong sandals—a comfortable trend that's going to be huge for spring/summer. This pair looks elevated (anyone else getting The Row vibes?) and versatile—teaming well with everything from dresses to jeans."

"This charming polo dress is giving me warm-weather preppy tennis vibes that I simply cannot resist. (And perfect to pair with the above sandals!)."

"I'll be livening my spring outfits with these cool and affordable twisted hoops. Perfect for everyday use."

"I'm very into the sweater vest trend, and love a slouchier style layered over a tee."

"Comfy sneakers are a must. This pair from New Balance feels quite fresh."

"All I care about adding to my closet right now is a classic trench coat. I've had this really specific idea in my mind about what I want—a classic beige hue, tortoiseshell buttons, and an ankle-grazing hem—and this one from ASOS is checking all the boxes."

"With my extra $20, I have to get a little cheap thrill and this strappy knit bralette is just the thing. In fact, I'd even style it with loose jeans, kitten heels, and the above trench coat as I've seen plenty of fashion girls doing lately."

"I love a good maxi dress, and I can't believe this one is only $50. You could style it with leather boots like the model on chillier days, or pull out a pair of strappy sandals when going to events are a thing again. Either way, it's an elegant dress that I know I'll get major use out of."

"I wear my black rectangular sunglasses from Urban all the time, and this cream pair will match perfectly with some of my lighter-toned spring outfits."

"Last but not least, this sweater vest is calling my name. It's such a fun way to add a pop of color while still keeping it elevated. I'm already imagining pairing this over a crisp white button-up and my favorite relaxed jeans."

"Truth be told, I'm living in a sports bra most days right now so I love the idea of upgrading to this Versace version, which I would style with an oversize blazer and slouchy trousers."

"When the warmer weather rolls around, I'm always looking for a few reinvented basics to get me through to the summer—this tie-wrap collared crop top from Zara is just that."

"The only thing that's overrated about spring sandals is their price tag. Luckily, Charles & Keith created these beautiful woven black mules, so now you don't have to spend all your money on shoes (if you don't want to, of course)."
