My Favorite Small Brands Are Popping Off This Season—30 Picks You Have to See

Yusra Siddiqui  Tue, 05 Oct 2021  Who What Wear

I may have started working at Who What Wear only a year ago, but I have found a plethora of small brands along the way. Whether it's sourcing through PR companies or reading fellow editors' stories, there's a world of cool indie brands that I had been missing out on previously. I've always loved perusing the collections of emerging or smaller-scale brands, as you'll find much more unique and innovative ideas—things that'll make you remember why you love fashion in the first place. Larger retailers like Nordstrom are starting to carry your favorite independent labels, and Instagram accounts like @upnextdesigner are taking off, so I'd like to do my part in giving these brands the platform they deserve by sharing my finds with you below.

Whether you're looking for unique finds to invest in this season or simply want a dose of some design inspiration for your fall dressing, you've come to the right place. Keep scrolling for 30 of my favorite finds from smaller labels that will certainly take your breath away.

Paloma Wool's knits sell out quickly for a reason.

Make money moves.

Not your average ribbed tank.

I saw these in person during New York Fashion Week, and they're just as good as they look online. (Plus, they're lightweight and so easy on the ears!)

This color combo will always be stylish.

With Jéan always makes me want its latest drops.

Pair this with an oversize blazer and loose jeans for a fun yet relaxed look.

This bag is the perfect color and size.

I can't get over these.

I have a collection of name and initial necklaces, but one more can't hurt, right?

Celery green is always a good idea.

You probably already own a little black bag, so why not add a brown one to your collection?

Our editorial director, Lauren Eggertsen, wore this during NYFW, and it's been sitting in my cart since.

Vela's fall collection has the dreamiest color palette. Even if you don't wear a headscarf like me, these scarves would make for a great pop of color.

Treat your phone as an accessory.

This is art.

It's like a little pillow!

I've been spotting these on Instagram and think they're incredibly chic.

Not only is this shade of purple stunning, but this top can also be worn as a scarf.

Your cute jeans.

This jumpsuit is a showstopper, whether you dress it up or down.

I haven't found the perfect clogs to purchase yet, but I think these check all my boxes.

Corduroy pants are my current favorite fall staple.

I'm surprised this is still in stock.

No doubt, these are earrings you'll cherish for years.

Scrumptious.

I can't stop thinking about all the styling opportunities these pants will provide.

A fall-hued tie-dye.

Release your inner Spider-Girl.

I have the black set, but this matcha version is really calling my name.
