The 1975 is back. The British band took to social media to reveal a new music era is upon us.

Naturally, they delivered the news on June 1st, which is an important date for The 1975 considering they chose their name based on a book that contained the writing "1st June, the 1975."

"Your new album. Your new era. Your old friends. The 1975," they shared across all of their social platforms, along with a photo of them looking dapper in tuxedos. Based on the photo, The 1975's current aesthetic somewhat resembles the vibe from their first two albums but with a more classic feel.

The 1975, which consist of Matty Healy, George Daniel, Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann, shared a few cryptic posts on their respective Instagram accounts. The posts contain the letters "BFIAFL," possibly alluding to an upcoming album title.

The band also went old school and shared posters throughout random streets everywhere. The posters feature a black and white photo of Healy with the date "7 July," possibly hinting at a music release next month.
