Here's Why 'The Beatles' Biopic Will Releases As Four Movies

It's official: The Beatles documentary is confirmed and the internet's favorite boyfriends have been cast. From Paul Mescal to Harris Dickinson, fans are thirsting for the new film. Other fans keep circling back to one question: Why are there four parts?

On April 1, news broke that The Beatles will be released as "A four-film cinematic event," the press release revealed. Actors Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal and Joseph Quinn have been cast to play the band's lead roles of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the film's four-part approach will give each bandmate the documentary they deserve by telling the story "from each band member's perspective. Together, all four films will tell the story of the greatest band in history," he said. Sony CEO Tom Rothman dubbed the venture 'the first bingeable theatrical experience'," EW reported.

This is the first of its kind, making it a true test for the movie industry. Release dates have not been shared for each individual film, although it has been confirmed that rollout will begin in April 2028.
