Glossier has selected 16 Black-owned beauty businesses to receive grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 USD each. Announced back in June 2020, the company's grant initiative will provide support for Black entrepreneurs, who are strikingly underrepresented in the beauty space.

Specializing in haircare, skincare and wellness, grantees to receive $50,000 in funding include Hanahana Beauty, a sustainable and ethical brand known for its rich body butters, textured hair extension company Melanj Hair and AbsoluteJOI, a clean skincare line for melanin-rich complexions. Early-stage business receiving $30,000 each range from fragrance line Redoux to beauty and lifestyle brand Luna Magic. Lastly, companies in their pre-launch stage including men's haircare brand Wavy Blue, skincare line Eadem -- founded by two Google alums -- and Pound Cake, a pro-queer and pro-fat cosmetics company, will receive $10,000 USD each.
