Beyoncè Officially Announced Her Haircare Line

It's time to get in formation as Beyoncè has officially announced the name of her highly anticipated haircare line. The mega-star took to Instagram to reveal to the name and launch date of her impending project dubbed Cècred.

She captioned the post, "Hair is sacred. The journey begins on February 20."

In true Beyoncè fashion, the video included in the post featured throwback videos of what appears to be her walking through her mother's salon as the camera zooms into the salon name on the wall, "Headliners Hair Salon," the same name of her mother's former salon. The video hones in on the sanctity of Black women's experience in the salon by featuring different clips of Black women interacting with each other, getting their hair washed and styled, and showcasing different natural hair textures. Beyoncè herself even makes an appearance, getting her hair washed in the wash bowl.

This is not the first time that Beyonce has teased her forthcoming haircare line; last March, she took to Instagram to share a carousel post featuring an image of her styling her curls in the mirror with what appears to possibly be samples or tester products from her haircare line on the vanity, followed by a throwback image of young Beyoncè getting her hair braided and ending with a handwritten letter.

The letter details her personal relationship to beauty throughout her childhood and career; she wrote, "How many of ya'll knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama's salon? Destiny's Child got its start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. "I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I've always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can't wait for you to experience what I've been creating."

It has not yet been revealed what products will make up the haircare line, but in the meantime, get your card and hair follicles ready as Beyoncè prepares to snatch your edges on February 20.
