The Return of the Cracken: BMW 5 Series

Sometimes a change to the industry happens, and the change is sometimes not always where we want it to be. In the case of the 5 Series the new G30 from BMW, the exterior seems to be growing up, getting older, no longer the testosterone filled early 20's radical adolescent but a mid 30's executive with tenor a grace of elegance in which you know what you're getting. I am still on the radical end and enjoy pushing the realm of design but this newest release appears to be a shrunken 7 series so the Germans with their magnificent engineering decide to calm the waters on design and evolve which in my mind was the greatest designed 5 series in history with the F1x group. So I made the first line not in reference to the exterior, which we will highlight later but in reference to the shining spots for the new 5 Series Technology and weight. Can the G30 get back to the dynamics that made BMW king?

Let's kick off and be different from the other car journalists and go into what is new:

I said businessman earlier and I meant it imagine,  driving through your well connected driving Bot imagine ordering your parking space from your car through a reservation payment (thank you for all  NY citizens) or having technology that lets you know you have an open parking space available, and parks it's for you autonomously. Need to keep up with your powerpoints and excel presentations you can sync all of the information through your in touch display with apple car play plus your phone won't die just sit it down for wireless charging. Think you won't have a connection is there a hotspot anybody, yes. In addition, that NAV is really smart it remembers where you have gone and changes to your route for shortcuts in reference to the future.  The same goes with some of the nanny tricks all set around a 10.25in touch screen, that include Gesture Control (see video further below), an adjustable size heads up display and all of the autonomous speed and parking controls.

So the interior has enlightened but the shortcomings of the F10 were more in the realm of the cornering and the handling. The change also starts with the weight the car it's lighter (up to 100kg), it's stiffer, and get this double wishbone. This should all but deteriorate the pain of the heavy sensation with the older 5 series models which scared away E39 Loyalists. The chassis designed from scratch for a new interpretation on the driving experience aids in the great push for maneuverability that is found in the industry leaders Cadillac, and Jaguar.

The set release date for the new 5 series in February 2017. The looks I will remain moderate in my opinion, the driving experience I expect a game changer. For more detail watch video below and stay tuned for full review:
