Sometimes Subtle Changes Have a Bigger Impact: RANGE ROVER SVAutobiography Dynamic

Let's be honest with ourselves maybe 3% of buyers actually need off road capability. In the case of those living in high sprawl urban cities and stop sign, speed bump crazy suburbia the SUV has taken on a different role. It is now becoming the new minivan cause lets be honest who wants a Minivan (No offense Honda Odysses). The Range Rover has been in it's previous life the army tank that an normal consumer could purchase without the 68 tons of metal and culpola (mounted to tank for gun treatment).  The Rover design was created by Gordon Bashford, it's intent to traverse across the jungles of africa, mountains of the himalaya and deserts of the middle east. What became of that when it first entered in the market in 1978 was iconic following for those looking for off road capability not available to the public. It was a car that was used acrossed many of the unpaved road markets and still can be found today used for the most difficult duties. So fast forward to the now and how things have changed, using some of BMW technology with the engine base, the 2nd generation was introduced with more creature comforts than it's predecessor therefore accessing the off road capability/niche Rover made it's mark on an international scale.

So what's become of the off road tank well it's alot prettier, alot lighter, but still capable of going to the sand dunes and muddy passages of Northern Africa. So to spice up the hot sauce a bit more rover is adding a sporty dynamic and dare I say tech, into the technology wave were seeing in vehicles today.  The SVautobiography dynamic brings together all the goodies of the 4th Gen Range Rover with what we see as a midlife cycle refresh with more horsepower to start off with. 550 HP 500 LB TQ if it sounds familiar thats because it is Jaguar/Land Rover 5.0 Supercharged V8 has been in use for a long time and served as one of the top engines ever made due to it's great low end grunt, and sounds. So with this addition comes what I call the Tesla push, see Tesla is putting all these automated goodies into vehicles and now manufactures that had this int he stable are being forced to release early to keep up with the times let's passage through some of the goodies as you go 0-60 in 5.2 seconds in a tank:

Low Traction Launch Low Traction Launch - Can't figure out how to get out of a tough spot and your throttling to much this will help you in snow, ice, or wet conditions

All-Terrain Info Centre  - Don't know whats on the ground below you this info center can tell you while monitoring through the 10 in infotainment display

Improved connectivity and intuitive interactivity - to cold, to hot, and just want to get in the car and go. You can do this from your cell phone and even set the temps to a good temperature.

Improved satellite navigation and services - Fully adaptabe navigational service, learns your routes memorizes and saves. You can even see two screens in one similar to BMW.

Advanced safety systems - I should just put all the Tesla stuff but that would be lazy. Auto Steering to keep you straight (autonomous driving), cruise control that will save you from tickets (slows down to the speed listed on the signs) . Driver help when your sleepy it can recognize this and pull you over. All these add up to a well appointed sexy tanker.
