There comes a time in life when we start to appreciate the little things as a man, you start to see greys or baldness and your aspirations of the Ferrari F1 start to fade away not because of desire but due to a different purpose. See you my friend have a little one on the way or have too many dogs or a family (Mom and Dad retiring to move in) that is growing. So how can a 2 seater truly make the waves in holding down additional luggage and car seats? So buy, buy horsepower hello to more space, incoming a novel idea why don't you get an SUV. If you have a need for speed you could opt for the GLE-63 AMG S but that hasn't been released yet with this new design. Change gears and enter in something that doesn't have the low-end grunt but still pulls 60 off in 7.0 Seconds and can tow 7,000+ lb down a roadway of your choice. That may not tingle the feet but it gets the job done all in the hands of a turbocharged 2.0L 4 cylinder.


So back to the reason why you bought this thing and the things that count, Mercedes left out the horses at the lowest model in the GLE family but certainly didn't relent on features. There are three rows to this car available I will advise that the third row could only fit a toddler or a Chihua comfortably but if it's a quick 15 min. run someone under 5'10 would fit. The luxury of the front also goes to the back you have heated front and rear seats and I would argue that the second row Captain chairs actually do more for you in space than the front that is a complement of how Mercedes Benz paid attention to all of its customers. Features such as an automated folding rear sear with what Mercedes calls an Easy Entry option. This is not limited to just cruising prowess the car also offers AIRMATIC AIR suspension you know since your 6'0 and the wife is 5'4 you have to lower the rear for her to load all of the groceries. After you get all of those options you get Benz's ENERGIZING function which illuminates the car at different levels as well as provides variances in massaging mode functions there are 4 levels to calm the kids the dog/cats, and yourselves which include Classic, Sport, Progressive, and Understated. 

New innovations to the GLE including the following that they advertise as game changers: 

• E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL: Damping controlled through each wheel with a 48-volt battery 
• Fully-variable 4MATIC: Fully Variable All Wheel Drive Controls 
• Active Stop-and-Go Assist:  Self Driving Features at low speeds 
• Turn-off function: Vehicle will stop at low speeds if it senses a collision 
• Seating comfort: Longer wheelbase for better comfort while traveling 

0-60: 7.0 Seconds 
Interior Volume: 117.9 Wheelbase/2nd row seating 41.1 inches/Headroom 40.4 inches 
Tow Power: 7,700 LB 
MPG: 19 City /26 Highway 

Enough of the intangibles with a starting price of $55k even the average Joe can get in on the fun and with a vehicle that holds its value a lease option wouldn't be bad as well. This is for the Fathers out there enjoy your day.
