Cadillac XT4 2019: It's all about the trucks 

Cadi, Cadi, so you couldn't let the market target you out. The auto show in Detroit will add another CUV to build on the success of the growing sales of sedans up high, Cadillac needs an entry model to compete against the likes of the .... let's get to the spec's and I'll tell you why we have an issue here. So Cadillac's entry model sits at the table:

Focus on the bold I am going somewhere with this.  So let's look at a company how I feel is a bit higher than Cadillac but in a very similar situation the LEXUS... They have a few SUV's like Cadillac a big SUV in the LX, a midside in the RX and the entry model in the NX which should compete against the XT4. Let's enter in the competition from Germany and stay focus on Audi, the big guy for them is the Q7, midsized is the Q5, and then there is the Q3 (Audi Q1 is not here yet) the XT4 competitor. 

Check the dimensions on the Q3, well let's just look at the wheelbase:
Wheelbase (in): 102.5 
Overall Length (in): 172.8 
Overall Width (in): 72 in 

Ok that doesn't match an XT4 a bit smaller but what about the Q5:

Overall Length (in): 183.6 
Overall Width (in): 74.5 in 

This is a similar formula to what Cadillac has done with the Second Gen CTS-V and similar to what Kia is currently doing with the Stinger. It's an interesting strategy for me it's saying you can't compete but its actually could be offering more at a lower price and also creating a new segment.
