ZEEKR 001 FR - CHINA'S SUPER HATCH WAGON

If anyone is looking you'll notice that there is a continent that is on the heals of the European and in some ways beating them in the Auto Game if it was for Branding Power. Korea has the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands that are making waves across the USA as an atlernative to the well known Big Three Europeans and for sure a big competitor for US Hegemony. The electric car era has brought in a significant advantage for any new brand or brands that are change the image.. everyone is starting from ground zero so the stories have to rebegin. The issue is the US and Europe havent woken up to the future, with Tesla being the dominant lead in the EV Race.

Asia is totally different embrace of EV by the governments are there and China's push to be a respected player in the Auto space has them nabbing some of the best designers and engineers from Europe to gain immediate space of entry into new markets. Tariffs have been the biggest hinderance to the US, but almost all the rest of the Continents have a taste of China's cost effective, yet Quality made vehicles. The performance arena is not something that it shy's away from some of the quickest EV Hypercars have Chinese made by on them (Nio EP9). It's the case of most 1st world countries where the people live off of the past successes without any motivation for continued improvement.

Enter in Zeekr the engineering partnership is with the Swedes in Gotham and it forms what will lend it o be the perfect Plaid/Model X combination. This Hatch release shows that China is not holding any white flags and is coming for Blood. Check out the stats:

0-100 km/h in 2.02 sec*

0-200 km/h in 6.29 sec

280 km/h Top Speed

930 kW Peak Power

1280 N·m of Torque

All this comes from a Super Hatch with a design that is intriguing for car lovers, for some reason Wagon like cars turn most car guys on, have no clue why.  The issue with so much talent including a beautifully upholstered sporty interior, and a nice place to sit when you can charge 10-80% in 30 minutes is that its not available in the USA. I understand protectionism is key and to preserve thy country but hopefully some US companies wake up on what could ccome.
