Porshe 911 GT2RS - A TURBO'D GT3... Nurburgring Problems

What if you could do a couple of things take your perfect mate in life on a date, do the dating thing for a few years, get a proposal out, buy the living space and make a baby for old time sake lets say your the Porshe 911 Turbo S and your mate is the Porshe 911 GT3 almost the same but approach things differently. For all intensive purposes the 911 Turbo S has the GO!! that you have in your genes while the GT3 plays a different role in carving Canyon tops at a local near you. Now the baby the merger of two gifts brings you the Speed and Carnivores ability to make it through canyon turns.

The star born from two of Porshe's best is the GT2RS, this baby sits atop the 911 range as the be all and end all of sports car racing. The tradition continues and Porshe continues to know what it's doing, this car powered by a twin turbo 3.8L flat 6 used in the 911 Turbo S comes in at a whopping 700 HP add on the weight distribution of only 3241lb my Lord there is a god if not for the Aero treatments this for sure would lift off, that's where your mate comes into play to even you out. Take a gander at the numbers just from a speed perspective:

Engine/Performance
Engine: 3.8L TT Flat 6
HP and TQ: 700 HP and 553LB TQ
0-60: 2.7 Seconds
1/4 Mile: 10.5 Second / 130mph
Top Speed: 211 MPH (Track Speed)
Weight: 3214 lb

The Handles
If you know Porshe than you know some cars are born with athletics. The car sitting on huge 265/35 fronts and 325/30 on the backs exemplifies what it's intent is. The carbon fiber, accentuate the low weight high hp strategy (how hard was that to figure out) ... Porshe have the heritage of exuding confidence, folks talk about cars that make you look good well the Porshe before the Nissan GTR had that reference and in an RWD based vehicle. Stability means strength and rigidity there are no rubber bushings in this car, its steel the McPherson strut, and multilink suspension are all aided by helper guides. A little bit of the AI technology to help with the confidence is the assistance of the PASM (damping) system which will be used throughout the VW line up,  rear axle steering, and the fixed rear wing control the car at high speeds.

The Powertrain
Assisted by the help of 700 HP is the one thing that separates Porshe from the competition completely. In my opinion, the Porshe Doppelkupplung (PDK) Gearbox appears to be the best-channeled transmission in this era of performance sports cars. To add on to the aggressive yet stable nature of the transmission, the ISP system comes into play Intelligent Shift Program allows for more immediate upshifts and also deliver dynamic rev matching features. A 7,200 RPM redline, water inter-cooled turbochargers and a lighter weight exhaust system that reroutes the exhaust are all tools that manifest a better breathing engine.

These are some of the small details that bring the GT RS to the forefront of the performance category and with a $293,200 price tag, one hopes it does.
